The successful business partners Michael Goodrich and Christian Balbierer turned their dreams into reality and created upscale eating for the sweet tooth in everyone.
The Chocolate Pink Café “is modern and chic, yet has a neighborhood appeal,” Michael Goodrich says. What makes the Café a hot experience is it is one of a kind. There is no other pastry restaurant in the south that resembles the pastry shops you can find in Europe. They value their customers so much, as to wanting to be able to uplift each and every individual customer’s spirit just by tantalizing their taste buds with gourmet pastries. Not only do they specialize in pastries, they also sell sweets and chocolates because, “Sweets and Chocolates are a girl’s best friend,” Goodrich says.
The Café’s in depth mission as to putting their customer’s first works side by side with the charities they are committed to. Goodrich and Balbierer are very passionate about the charities of G-CAPP, Planned Parenthood, Atlanta Pink Card and The Teddy Bear Crusade all non-profit organizations in Atlanta.
In the short time the Café has been open, a year, they were fortunate to be one of the sponsors for Jane Fonda’s 70th birthday party. The Café not only caters to celebrities, they cater to anyone who wants a change from an ordinary pastry shop. The Café caters Weddings, Holidays, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Company Meetings, and Private Events. A customer can even book their event to be located at the Café.
When ordering at the Chocolate Pink Café, one can order individual desserts, cakes, pies, and tarts. The two favorite pastries of most customers are the Hoyt and the Petunia. The Hoyt is a four inch layered chocolate mousse dessert with dark sweet cherries, chocolate buttermilk cake, cherry gelee, and cherry whipped cream. The Petunia is a four inch layered mousse cake with caramelized brown sugar bananas, Netella, chocolate buttermilk cake, and hazelnut mousse.
Customers keep coming back because, “They are simply divine and people come back because there is nothing else like them in Atlanta. They are available in a 4 inch round individual size that is just enough for one or can be shared if you are feeling generous,” Goodrich explains.
Balierer’s fifteen years as an experienced chef and Goodrich’s fifteen years in sales and marketing, gives their customers the confidence their products are top notch. The next project coming up for these successful partners is the Chocolate Pink Online Store which launched December 2007. This project will help the successful Café reach national recognition and success.
